@P.Soul: For the record, I’m not body-snarking on Lauren Falcone. I have absolutely no idea what her body looks like, nor do I care. I’m criticizing the ridiculous, self-referential, body-snarking piece she wrote as a sop to her own self-hatred and insecurity. That’s all.

Yeah, I still think there’s ambiguity there. Although I do agree with the underlying sentiment, I just wish everyone would knock it off talking about each others’ bodies at all.

If you look at the sentence again, you’ll see it was “her insecurities telling her to get off her fat ass.” Granted, I don’t live in her head so I don’t know exactly what kind of language her insecurities use, but I given her obvious self-loathing and body issues I suspect it’s something along those lines.
