Like PilgrimSoul, I’m peace outting to South America for some much needed R&R. My destination: Colombia, land of coffee, cocaine, emeralds, Shakira and my beloved Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Behold my home for the next seven days:
Cartagena de Indias, jewel of the Caribbean, whose green parks and winding colonial streets are the setting of Love in the Time of Cholera.
Besides literary swooning, siestas and eating everything in sight, there will also be a trip up the coast for some jungle-hiking and beach-combing, including an afternoon at a playa nudista…no bikini required!
