In college, I was always traveling somewhere (often for work or research) for summer/winter breaks, which facilitated flings.

But even now that I am a corporate drone in Israel, I still manage to seize any opportunity for a “vacation” fling. Leftist conference on the beach? Check. Playing guide to a guy who is here on vacation? Check.

Come to think of it, most of my male relationships over the past few years have been vacation flings. It’s almost like I can’t handle anything else.

Also, I want to echo your observation that guys who move to Israel magically get hot. And guys who have lived here since birth are hot. And, hot. And, I love living here. The end.

When I’m rocking on the porch of the Old Harpies home, I’ll at least have fun memories to keep me company.
