Announcement

Midway through our long beach weekend, we are considering changing our name from “Harpies” to “Sea Hags.”

Discuss.

Would the blog then be “The Pursuit of (Sea) Haggyness”?

You will of course call yourselves whatever you wish, but “harpy” appeals to my inner mythology nerd, and the blog title is a nice piece of wordplay, literary and subversive all at the same time.

DO IT. as long as there is an open visitation policy at the Sea Hag House.

Anything that helps make Aquaman more cool.

    Wait…

What would the name of the blog be?!

I like Harpies, myself. Like someone said, it appeals to the inner mythology nerd, plus “Pursuit of Harpyness” is just awesome.

I like Sea Hag simply because I heard it on the Simpsons.

@fem pen Agreed! I wish I were on this vacation.

I like Harpies better, but Sea Hags does have a certain brashness to it….

I’m all for changing out the drapes to coincide with the seasons. Winter = harpys, but when summer comes and the coast is calling = sea hags. Like switching to sheers, that is.

Don’t worry, y’all. Sea Hags is just what we’ll call ourselves when we’ve been tumbling around in seaweed and sand.

Sea Hags in pursuit of Harpyness.
    What could be better.

The horrid Popeye cartoons had a Sea Hag character. How do I hate the Popeye cartoons?, let me count the ways.
