It’s really dispiriting–and utterly infuriating–how many Hollywood types have signed the petition to free confessed child-rapist Roman Polanski.
I mean, Woody Allen doesn’t surprise me, but et tu, Wes Anderson? SRSLY, Steven Soderbergh?
I can only assume they haven’t read the disgusting details of Polanski’s crime.
It would also appear that being married to an intelligent, accomplished woman doesn’t make you any more enlightened or female-friendly: the list of rape apologists includes Sam Mendes (Mr. Kate Winslet), Taylor Hackford (Mr. Helen Mirren) and Mike Nichols (Mr. Diane Sawyer).
But most importantly, to every single woman who signed this petition: You are hereby kicked out of Womanity. You should know better, you miserable fucking traitors.
WHAT IS THIS SHIT? The man is a rapist and he belongs in jail.
I don’t have kids, but if someone hurt my hypothetical child like this I would do my damndest to make sure they got what they fucking deserved. >_>
Here was me thinking that it was wrong to exploit children, but I guess that goes out the window if the perpetrator of the crime is *faaamous*.
