The excitement that should have been felt regarding this law, was overshadowed for me by the knowledge that my representatives did the very opposite of what I would have liked them to do, stand up for the victim. As a sexual assault advocate, I am horrified and angry almost beyond words. I'm still looking for the right words to express my disgust in a letter to my Senators, letting them know that their vote will affect mine, come election time.
