As we mentioned yesterday, today, January 26, is the first birthday of The Pursuit of Harpyness. We marked our one-, three-, and six-month-iversaries, but a year? We’re a little shocked.
As before, some approximate stats (we had to change stat aggregators and I’m not sure if everything has been accounted for)…
In 365 days, we have:
Written 830-something posts, for
42, 639 individual visitors, from at least
12 countries, who gave us
886, 727 pageviews and
a breath-taking (to me) 17, 381 comments.
I bother with the bean-counting not to self-aggrandize, but in an attempt to wrap my head around how what started as a small, personal hobby has grown in ways I don’t think any of us could have imagined. We’re pretty proud.
Lest anyone fear we’re risking serious arm-sprain by patting ourselves on back here, that pride is about being part of a community of whip-smart, mouthy broads (that means you, readers!) who all contribute something to the discussion, who can disagree and even occasionally bicker but keep moving forward, who bring the lulz on the regular, and who are out in the world, doing feminism. We’re so very grateful.
Yesterday’s seminar elicited a nice array of well-wishes from a lot of our regular commenters, which gave me a serious case of the warm fuzzies (seriously, I’m absurdly fond of you all), but today we’d ask–as we did for our monthiversaries–for our lurkers and newbies to say hello. We’ve got room on the picnic blanket for you. Have a seat and enjoy the fireworks with us.
