Eez Sloths. Look.

Posted by Pilgrim Soul in Thoughts on May 19, 2010, 4:00pm | 12 comments

Although I got back from a short jaunt up to the Catskills last night (fun, but I tripped while hiking and my shin looks like hell) I quickly got all tense again from two impending deadlines today. I mentioned this to an internet friend, and she obliged me with the below which, since then, I have been unable to quit watching. Seriously, guys, I’m one step away from the Clockwork Orange here. Let’s see if it has the same effect on others.

My brain kept trying to convince me that those were Jim Henson creations rather than actual animals. I think that means that I’ve reached the actual limit of the amount of cute I can process.

I was just thinking that they have got to be CreatureShop creations, they just look so.. off real.

My response to this is what I image many women feel when faced with videos of giggling babies.

    SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

I half expected the last one sitting in the swing to utter something akin to, “It is strong in that one, the force is.”

Awww, they have the most adorable little wet piggy-noses! They just look so playful for an animal whose very name connotes laziness, and I love the ones swinging around on the jungle gym. I’d love to cradle one if there were no risk of getting scratched or bitten.

I believe that I have a natural affinity with these animals. We seem to share a similar ethos when it comes to eating, sleeping and scratching. I think one of them should come live with me.

Based on how frequently I scratch my ass, I kind of wonder if I’m part sloth.

Sloths have been my totem for many years. I went to Ecuador to try to see wild sloths. Didn’t succeed, tho saw many other marvelous things.

    THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!
