I am on board with private schooling, charter schooling, homeschooling and even un-schooling, but these people are ridiculous. I would bet most of these parents have never been the special snowflake they secretly wanted to be and are now forcing it onto their offspring. Like pageant mothers, only with French lessons and organic gardening.

Other than the overwhelming horror of this entire piece, the thing that actually and unreasonably annoyed me is that they’re in Cobble Hill. They are surrounded by good schools, both public and private. I know this shouldn’t be the thing that annoys me but honestly when some children have unbelievably awful schooling conditions the idea that these people are turning their noses up at some of the best education on offer in the city really riles me.
