Rock on, Harpies. This is the kind of stuff I used to expect to see in the feminist and woman-leaning blogosphere, but many of those sites are too busy waging the same culture wars over and over to notice real change, I suppose. (Can you guess which blog post with a thousand-plus comments about a certain ladymag I just clicked away from?)

Thanks for this, Becky. The most remarkable thing about this election are the humble origins from which these presidential aspirants come, regardless of gender. Could you imagine similar stories coming from the US candidates? We don’t really know the first thing about a meritocracy. (Not that Brazil doesn’t have its problems, but credit where credit is due.)
