I just…can’t… I don’t understand. :-(

Worse, they refuse to discuss it with me or explain why. “We’ll just have to agree to disagree” they say, apparently disinterested in why I am utterly appalled.

I’m happy the NDP made the gains they did, of course, but it was still just heartbreaking to know that so many of my fellow Canadians think that Harper is fit to lead our country… or worse, they vote for the Conservatives out of the same kind of reactionary fear that motivates a lot of right-wingers in the US, without any real awareness of their own party’s policies and behaviour. Anyway, thanks for posting this, even if it’s cold comfort.
