Thanks for the love, everyone! It definitely keeps us going!

I really like Ms. M's idea of proposing discussion topics so we can have at it. It neatly solves the problem we frequently have of "oh, we should probably post something about that but we're all pressed for time and don't have an hour to create an intelligent, well-reasoned and witty post to frame the discussion." So please, send topics, and feel free to write your own introductions and if they seem right, we'll post 'em!

I'll co-sign to all of the statements above. So glad this isn't a farewell post, and also so glad that the Harpies are taking the time needed for self-care and rejuvenation. Thank you for providing this blog, and we look forward to reading more whenever you all are ready. ^^

I had similar thoughts to the others above, and almost had an "oh noes" moment..

I continue to enjoy the community at harpyness, and will continue to check back in regardless of the regularity of the posts.

Harpyness has really helped me - the people who comment, the regular posters.. you all don't know how much!

Joining the chorus to praise you and the community. This is definitely the progressive, feminist blog where I feel the least judged for my thoroughly traditional life choices. I love that the community is smaller and more intimate than some of my other well-loved reads. And, since sometimes I comment every day and sometimes I go weeks without commenting, I think I can cut you guys some slack!

I love your posts, and I love the space you've created. Thanks for that.

This is my favorite feminist blog regardless of the posting frequency, and I'm sure your readers (at least those who have done some writing themselves) understand how difficult it is to keep up with a high-frequency writing schedule.

Thank you (really - thank you) for keeping the lights on, to borrow your phrase.

Ditto MM. Blogging should be a pleasure, a place to rant and comment on the stupid world out there that thinks women are not people.

I've learned the most about myself from some of the Fun Friday posts. Nothing dramatic, but they make me reflect on personal things.

One of the best things about Harpyness is how I feel we are all learning from each other, not having it trickle down from some almighty blog post which says it all for us.

A suggestion, for when you don't feel like posting: simply post something like "Herman Cain: go at it" or "OMG the news lately" and let people have fun in the comments. We have a good community here, and you can trust us a play nicely without a big blog post :)

Like Feminizzle, I had to scroll quickly, I thought this was a farewell post and thought WAH!!! Harpyness is a unique community, and I will visit no matter how few the posts are.

This is a big job to handle on a volunteer basis, and I appreciate all the work the Harpies do. It should be a pleasure, not a burden, so I endorse Feminizzle above and agree that you should post when you have the desire to do so. I will look forward to reading regardless of frequency!
